SOUTH SUDAN — We give thanks for the peace and unity our team is currently experiencing in Rumbek, a town in South Sudan. Tensions are escalating in other parts of the country, however, as well as among government officials. Join us in praying for stability throughout the nation.
ALBANIA — Steady progress has been made on producing Discipleship Essentials in Albanian. This structured curriculum is being developed with TWR Canada. Pastors and ministry leaders across Albania are embracing the program with enthusiasm. Pray for continued momentum and focus as the team works toward completing the first phase.
NEPAL — Please pray for our Maithili language producer. He is a school teacher for Dalit children, who are considered untouchables in that society. Give thanks for his wife, who also volunteers her time to support radio production. Ask God to provide needed audio equipment and resources to support our after school tutoring program in the region.
NIGER — Our Zarma producer is thankful for the opportunity to share the gospel with young people in his neighborhood. We praise the Lord for the spiritual curiosity stirred during these discussions, which are leading to greater understanding. Pray that the seeds planted during these moments will take root to grow faith.
DEVOTIONAL — Pray for the family of a devotional subscriber who recently passed away. A grandfather who owned a grocery store in Wisconsin, he always provided Words of Hope devotionals at the store for his customers. We are so thankful for his commitment to sharing the hope of the gospel.
BHUTAN — Please pray for Bhutan, where increased government-sponsored Buddhist gatherings are making it more difficult to share the gospel. Ask God to soften hearts that have grown resistant to the message of Christ. Pray for boldness, wisdom, and discernment for believers seeking to witness faithfully.
PERSIAN — Please pray for the people of Iran as widespread protests triggered by economic and political frustrations have been met with a deadly crackdown by state authorities. This has resulted in thousands of deaths and arrests. The flow of information out of the country has also been severely restricted. Pray for comfort and justice.
INDIA — Give thanks for the work being done at the Words of Hope center in Lohardaga, India, as the team serves marginalized communities by offering skills training, computer education, and vocational courses. Free tutoring and school supplies for underprivileged students are also provided. Pray that these programs will open doors to brighter futures.
TÜRKIYE — Please pray for the people of Türkiye as they continue to face economic challenges and political tensions that affect daily life. Ask God to strengthen the local church and encourage believers in a context where public witness can be difficult. Pray for open doors to share the gospel with those who are seeking truth and hope.
UGANDA — Please pray for the Words of Hope Uganda team as they navigate challenges caused by government-related interruptions to broadcast schedules. During recent political events, airtime was displaced by official programming, limiting gospel outreach. Ask God to make a way for uninterrupted broadcasts and continued impact.
INDONESIA — Give thanks to God for guiding the Words of Hope Indonesia team as they share the gospel through daily reflections in heart languages. We are grateful for the work of the Growing Together Communities in Indonesia and celebrate their impact. Pray for continued guidance, unity, and open hearts as the work moves forward.
UGANDA — Please pray for a new teaching initiative focused on “effective handling of family resources” and “holistic freedom” in Uganda. The goal is to address widespread poverty and help people recognize and steward the blessings God provides. Many continue to live in bondage despite the freedom Christ offers.
