TÜRKIYE — Give thanks for the faithfulness of Turkish believers who continue to follow Jesus despite cultural and political pressure. Pray that the Words of Hope broadcasts reach seekers who feel spiritually isolated so that their hearts may be opened to the truth of the gospel. May the church in Türkiye grow in courage and unity.
PERSIAN — Pray for joyful Christmas celebrations being held in secret by Persian believers. Pray for safety and peace as these Christians gather for both early and late Christmas celebrations to avoid persecution. Ask that each worship time would proclaim the true meaning of “Immanuel—God with us.”
INDONESIA — Praise God for the launch of five new community groups among Kalumpang-speaking believers. Pray that these gatherings would strengthen faith and deepen understanding of the gospel. Ask that God would bring clarity where Christianity and traditional beliefs have become intertwined in unhelpful ways.
ALBANIA — Give thanks for efforts to bring The Chosen series to Albanian-speaking audiences. Pray for wisdom and clarity as final licensing decisions are made. Ask that God will open the doors wide for distribution and fruitful ministry so that many may come to know Jesus through this powerful retelling of his life.
BHUTAN — Praise God that the team is able to consistently produce gospel-centered programs each month. Pray that Dzongkha and Tshangla speakers will engage deeply with the content online. Ask for creativity, energy, and joy as the team shares hope, and pray that hearts will be softened to the message of Christ throughout Bhutan.
INDIA — Pray for new outreach and counseling efforts with a group of 20 seekers. Pray for open hearts as individuals from many tribal backgrounds hear the gospel. Ask for strength and wisdom for those ministering faithfully in remote areas as they work to establish new communities of believers.
SOUTH SUDAN — Give thanks for a governor in South Sudan who values and shares Words of Hope’s radio messages of peace and healing. Pray that his Christ-centered leadership would influence others across South Sudan. Ask that God will continue to use these broadcasts to reach communities that have been wounded by war.
UGANDA — Last spring Words of Hope hosted a successful three-day training in Uganda for over 40 new devotional writers. Give thanks for the teaching, encouragement, and relationship building. Pray for clarity and inspiration as the team now begins writing next year’s devotionals. Pray that every writer will be guided by God’s Word.
NIGER — Please pray for Abeni, an elderly man who joyfully listens to the gospel in Zarma each evening. Give thanks for his openness and deep questions about following Jesus. Pray that he would fully accept Christ and be saved. Pray that his faith might lead his entire family to know the Lord.
DEVOTIONAL — A Words of Hope partner church recently shared about their high school girls’ Sunday School class. The teacher had challenged the girls to spend daily quiet time with the Lord. The girls were unsure how to begin, so the teacher gave each one a copy of the Words of Hope devotional. Now the girls take selfies holding the devotional to encourage each other!
NEPAL — Pray for 24 young believers who are beginning seminary to prepare for pastoral ministry. Pray especially for those who are the only Christians in their families. Pray that they will grow strong in faith and become faithful shepherds of God’s people. Pray also for a new staff member who has joined the team to teach pastoral care and counseling.
UGANDA — Praise God for Patrice, a young man formerly addicted to drugs who gave his life to Christ after hearing a Words of Hope broadcast. A Words of Hope Uganda team member walked closely with him throughout his recovery. Pray for Patrice’s continued growth in faith and freedom. Pray that his life might be a testimony to others seeking hope.
