Equipping Young People in Niger

Words of Hope Niger partners with the Evangelical Church of the Republic of Niger to empower indigenous communities. Together, we collaborate with a local team to create Christian media content in eight languages, airing it on local FM radio and distributing it via SD cards that can be listened to on mobile phones. Our team then provides a follow-up ministry that creates communities of new believers and seekers and helps build the church where they are.

Recently, our team visited a local Bible school to conduct comprehensive media training sessions. These sessions focused on teaching essential skills in computer literacy and radio production to both students and teachers. Through hands-on exercises, participants gained practical insights into radio production, recognizing its potential as a powerful communication tool. To support ongoing learning, we were able to provide vital equipment like computers and printers to the Bible school.

These training sessions included women, who traditionally have limited exposure to technology in Niger. Their enthusiastic participation reinforces Words of Hope’s commitment to bridging digital divides and empowering all members of the community.
