Yemi’s Journey to Faith

When you support Words of Hope, you are helping people around the world encounter God’s life-changing love in real and personal ways.

In a village in Niger, a man named Yemi tuned in to one of our radio broadcasts. Something about the message stirred his heart. He listened intently, and felt drawn to learn more. Finally, he asked a simple but powerful question:

“Can I come meet you?”

Driven by a deep desire to accept Jesus Christ as his Savior, Yemi made the journey to connect with the producer in person. The producer welcomed him and introduced him to a local pastor. It was during this meeting that Yemi opened his heart and made the decision to follow Christ.

As he began attending church services and growing in his faith, Yemi’s joy became contagious. Inspired to lead his family in this new direction, he decided to move closer to the church so they could all be strengthened in their walk with Christ. He asked for help finding work—willing to babysit or start a small business. The local church elders rallied around him. They offered encouragement and helped him take steps toward stability and independence.

Yemi’s story is just one of many showing how God is working through Words of Hope to reach listeners, transform lives, and build the body of Christ. Because of the faithfulness of supporters like you, someone like Yemi not only heard the gospel but also found a loving Christian community and a renewed purpose.

Please continue to pray for Yemi as he grows in faith—and for the many others who, like him, are hearing the gospel for the first time through this ministry. Your generosity makes these life-changing encounters possible.
