Don’t Follow the Crowds!
Read: Matthew 7:7-14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. (v. 14) As I was visiting
Do you ever feel like life is unsteady—like you’re standing on shifting ground, facing storms of fear, doubt, or loss? When uncertainty shakes us, we long for something firm, secure, and lasting.
This devotional reading plan reminds us that Jesus is that solid foundation. Across these readings, we’ll be invited to enter the narrow way, to stand on Christ our Rock, to anchor our hope in his promises, and to look ahead to the newness of life he is making. We’ll face our fears honestly, remembering that Jesus calms every storm. We’ll reflect on the ways envy, jealousy, or comparison can take root in our hearts, and learn instead to rest in his love and care.
Jesus steadies our lives, no matter the circumstances. Just as David cried out for the Rock that is higher than him, or Peter was called to step out of the boat in faith, we too are invited to look beyond fear and place our trust in Christ. Jesus is with us, guiding us, protecting us, and calling us into the abundant life found only in him.

Take heart today: the Rock will not move, hope in Christ will not disappoint, and his love will hold you fast.
