Read: 2 Corinthians 6:1-13
As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. (vv. 1-2 NIV)
Never have the spiritual fields been so ripe for harvest; we dare not miss this unprecedented opportunity. We are living in a world of many life-threatening issues that challenge all humanity: moral decay, political upheaval, interpersonal conflicts, marriage breakdown, economic challenges, disease epidemics, and natural disasters.
The enemies of Christ seem to be rapidly growing, but so is the opportunity for believers in Jesus to preach the good news. Just as challenging issues press in on people; they’re desperate for peace and joy. We know as followers of Jesus that peace and joy will only be found in him. If ever you plan to do anything for Christ and his kingdom, do it now before the harvest ends. There is no better time than the present to receive God’s forgiveness.
The doors of opportunity are open. What more do you need to share the gospel? Do you need training? Seek it out. Do you need courage? Pray for it. Do you need support? Ask for it from other believers. But do not doubt that you are called.
As you pray, ask God to give you what you need to share the gospel. And ask God to touch the hearts of all who are lost without Christ before it is too late.
