Gahan’s Journey of Healing and Faith

hands praying

A Words of Hope team member in Bhutan met a young man named Gahan who had been hospitalized with tuberculosis. Alone and in need of support, Gahan received prayers and heard the gospel message from the team member during his hospital visits. These visits are a crucial part of the ministry our team does in Bhutan, focusing on praying for the sick and offering spiritual encouragement. Slowly, the Word of God began to work in Gahan’s heart, leading him to start believing in Jesus.

After his discharge from the hospital, Gahan moved away but unexpectedly encountered the Words of Hope team member again some months later. Sadly, Gahan was still battling TB and was also struggling with alcohol addiction. He received more counseling and support from the team. The team’s holistic approach went beyond spiritual care; they also provided financial assistance to help Gahan buy necessary medicines and food to address his immediate physical needs.

Over a month of regular counseling, sharing the gospel, and prayer led to a transformation in Gahan’s life. He ultimately made the decision to fully commit himself to the truth of the gospel. He stopped drinking alcohol and has now completely recovered from his illness. Gahan is ready to be baptized.

We invite you to join us in this vital work. Your support can help reach more individuals like Gahan, offering them hope and healing. Consider making a donation to Words of Hope today.
