Women’s Sewing Center

India womens sewing group

In Lohardaga, India, Words of Hope operates a training center to teach women living in poverty how to sew, tailor clothing, and knit. This hands-on ministry provides women with a marketable skill so that they can provide for themselves and their families. The relationships formed during training often open doors for sharing the gospel with the sewing students.

Two women, Manisha and Rozi, graduated some time ago from a Words of Hope tailoring class. Now they have opened their own tailoring shop in their home village, and are able to earn a livable wage through their work. They regularly return to visit the training center, and say that the instruction they received was very good. Thank you for your support of this endeavor!
