You Can Help Change a Child’s Future, Like Mina

Fourteen-year-old Mina comes from a remote and underserved village where education is rare and basic hygiene is not well understood. She had never been to school. Like many children in her community, she lacked the opportunities and guidance most of us take for granted. Her clothes were often dirty, and she didn’t know simple practices of cleanliness. Her parents, overwhelmed by daily survival, didn’t see the value of education and weren’t concerned about her future.

But then, something began to change.

During a routine visit to the area, our dedicated Child Development Worker, Kamesar, noticed Mina. Something about her caught his attention—maybe it was her quiet curiosity or the spark that hadn’t yet been extinguished. Kamesar approached her parents and gently asked if they would consider sending her to our local Tutoring Center.

At first, they dismissed the idea. Education wasn’t something they thought was meant for their daughter. But Kamesar didn’t give up. He kept visiting, encouraging, and explaining how this small step could change their child’s life.

Eventually, they agreed—and that “yes” became the beginning of a new story for Mina.

A Journey of Transformation

The first few days at the Tutoring Center weren’t easy. Mina was shy and unsure of herself, struggling in an unfamiliar environment. But with patience, love, and support, things began to shift. She started to learn. Her behavior softened. Her smile returned. Slowly but surely, Mina was discovering her own worth.

Her parents were amazed. They saw a visible transformation in their daughter—she was happier, healthier, and hopeful. Curious about what was driving this change, they asked more about the work being done at the center. That’s when they heard the gospel for the first time.

Now, they not only support Mina’s education, but they also attend our fellowship gatherings. Seeds of faith have been planted—and we’re praying for God to water them.

“We never imagined education could bring such joy to our child,” Mina’s parents shared. “Now we see what we were missing.”

You Can Help Rewrite More Stories

This Giving Tuesday, you can be the reason another child like Mina finds hope, healing, and the love of Christ.

Your gift can be matched—doubling your impact. That means twice the school supplies, twice the educational support, and twice the opportunity to share the gospel with families in need.

Will you give today, and help rewrite a child’s story?
