The God of the Weary

Are you tired—physically, emotionally, or even spiritually?
You’re not alone. Weariness is one of the most common human experiences, and it touches even the most faithful believers. Weariness can cloud our vision, distort our perspective, and make us feel like giving up.
This devotional reading plan is for those moments. You’ll explore what the Bible says about weariness: its causes, dangers, and most importantly, its cure. We’ll trace encouragement from the Psalms and Ecclesiastes, to Jesus’s example, to Paul and John’s words to the early church. You’ll see that God doesn’t shame the weary. Instead, he meets them with compassion, strength, and a gentle invitation: “Come to me … and I will give you rest.”
From lessons on endurance to encouragement for when life feels unfair, these devotions will help you reframe your struggles in light of God’s promises. You’ll be reminded that even when you feel forgotten or overwhelmed, God sees you, sustains you, and is working through your perseverance.
This series isn’t about pushing through on your own strength. It’s about learning to walk in step with the One who never grows tired, who renews the weary, and who promises joy on the other side of endurance.
So come, just as you are. Let Scripture speak to your tired heart. And may God give you strength for today and hope for what’s ahead.
