Series: How to Pray

Do you ever feel unsure of how to pray—or if your prayers are even working?

Whether you’re new to prayer or have prayed for years, most of us still wrestle with questions: Am I doing this right? Is God listening? Does prayer really make a difference?

This devotional reading plan offers a fresh and simple invitation: come close to God. Drawing from biblical insights and everyday experiences, each reflection explores the heart of prayer—not as a performance, but as a relationship. Prayer isn’t meant to be complicated, rigid, or intimidating. It’s meant to be powerful and personal. It’s a way to rest in your identity as God’s beloved child, to speak and to listen, to bring your needs, express your thanks, and sit quietly in God’s presence.

You’ll read about the boldness of Elijah, the stillness of David, the perseverance of the early church, and the deep joy of watching and waiting for God’s hand to move. Along the way, you’ll be encouraged to experiment with new rhythms of prayer, from silent reflection to written prayers, group intercession, or even walking conversations with God.

Prayer doesn’t require fancy words or perfect timing. It only requires a willing heart. So whether you feel discouraged, distracted, or ready to grow deeper, know this: your heavenly Father loves to hear from you.

He’s already listening. Will you draw near?
