Series: God of All Comfort

Have you ever wondered where God is when your heart is breaking?

Life can wound us in countless ways. We grieve the loss of loved ones, carry the weight of disappointment, struggle with regret, and face circumstances that seem beyond our ability to endure. In those moments, we may feel alone, forgotten, or overwhelmed by sorrow. The Bible offers a beautiful promise: “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18).

This devotional series invites you to discover that promise through the lives of men and women who encountered God’s presence in their deepest pain. You’ll meet Hagar, who learned that God sees her. Hannah, who discovered that God hears her cries. David, who found hope in despair. Jeremiah, who held onto God’s faithfulness in the darkest of circumstances. You’ll walk alongside those who encountered Jesus—the Messiah sent to bind up the brokenhearted and bring comfort to the grieving.

You’ll also discover that those who receive God’s comfort are called to share it. As children of the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, we are invited to bring hope, compassion, and encouragement to others (2 Cor. 1:3).

Through these daily reflections, you’ll see that God is never distant from suffering. He draws near to those who are hurting, offers grace to those who repent, strengthens those who are weary, and fills his people with hope for the future. It is God’s loving presence with us in our sorrow, his strength in our weakness, and his promise of restoration.

Come and be reminded that whatever burden you carry today, you are not alone.

It seems we can't find what you're looking for.
