India is home to more than a billion people, yet Christians are only a small part of the population. In many communities, people have little opportunity to hear the gospel.
Following Christ in India also comes at a cost. Christians may be viewed as outsiders, and anti-conversion laws, social pressure, and opposition can make it difficult to openly share their faith. In some places, believers face rejection, loss of resources, or even violence.
Yet God is at work. Through radio, social media, books, SD cards, and personal relationships, Words of Hope team members are bringing the hope of Christ to communities. Ministry teams also educate children, teach practical skills, and equip church leaders—building relationships that open the door to conversations about Jesus.

Together, let’s pray for India:
- Give thanks that 15 people in West Bengal received baptism recently, choosing to publicly declare their faith in Christ. Pray that they will continue to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and find encouragement and fellowship as they begin this new chapter of faith.
- Pray for Aarna, a new believer and sewing instructor who has become a faithful prayer warrior. Through her work at one of the Words of Hope sewing centers, she has helped the ministry build relationships with several women from non-Christian backgrounds.
- Members of the team visited a hospital to share the gospel with patients and visitors. Many people listened with interest and openness. Give thanks for this opportunity to share the good news, distribute gospel tracts, and share food.
- One of our team leaders recently traveled to a rural village to hold a worship service. Over 100 believers gathered. The time of fellowship encouraged the church members in their faith. Pray that these believers will remain strong in Christ.
- Recent training and workshops in Thailand that the ministry team had the opportunity to attend equipped them with fresh insights and practical tools for their work. Pray that God will help them put what they learned into practice as they serve across India.
- By God’s grace, the team in India was able to distribute 100 Bibles. Give thanks for each person who has received God’s Word.
- Pray for wisdom and discernment as our leaders share their faith while navigating the legal environment in India.
- Give thanks that a new house church was established. May this growing community of believers be strengthened through God’s Word and encourage one another in faith.
