In the days following the devastating flooding in Nepal, Muan, a field coordinator with Words of Hope Nepal, traveled into Rasuwa, one of the affected communities. There, amid damaged homes and grieving families, he met an elderly grandmother whose life has been changed forever after losing 11 members of her family.

Catastrophic floods have devastated parts of Nepal along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river corridors. Thousands of people are missing, and the loss of life, homes, and livelihoods is difficult to comprehend.

Nestled among the world’s tallest mountains, Nepal is home to a staggering 125 different ethnic groups. The country is best known for the hundreds of climbers who test their mettle on the peaks of Mt. Everest each year. What’s less often seen are the numerous communities who live in these remote regions. Many have had very little opportunity to hear the gospel in their own language.
