Read: Ephesians 6:21-24
Peace be to the whole community, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (v. 23 NRSV)
We began this letter with a greeting of grace. Now we will end our time together with that same grace. My prayer has been that you encounter the grace that can only come from being rooted in Jesus Christ. It is through my own experience of this grace that these words of challenge and encouragement have been written.
But as this series concludes, you are invited to continue the work that we have begun. Try to focus less on our differences as Christians and look toward the reconciliation and unity we find in Christ. This is how each one of us can invest ourselves in “building up the body of Christ,” especially in matters of truth and love.
Each day, find a way to allow your faith to be central to your life. Meditate on the grace of God that has been given to you. Find new ways to embrace the life of freedom and love in Christ. God is calling you to live a new kind of life. Let your faith give you the confidence to answer this call with a resounding, “Yes, I will!”
As you live out your faith, I pray that you will feel the Spirit, guiding you to deeper relationships and a more intimate faith. Amen. —Ben Aguilera
Prayer: Gracious God, I thank you for the gift of a new day. Remind me of who I am in you so that I may live today boldly for you as I love my neighbor as myself.
